Serve Teams

“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” (1 Peter 4:10)

As a church family, we need one another! We’d love to have you share your God-given passions and talents with the rest of the Edgar Community Church family through one of the following Serve Teams. Let’s love God and love people together through serving! Here are the basic responsibilities for each Serve Team.

Coffee Team
Making and serving coffee, tea, lemonade, and hot chocolate on Sunday mornings.  Cleaning the coffee area and making sure that the supplies are stocked.

Cleaning Team
Cleaning the interior of the church to prepare it for Sunday worship services.

Community Kids
Praying for the hearts and minds of the students you will be teaching.  Previewing the lesson plan ahead of time.  Following the prepared lesson plan to lead the lesson or assist the leader.  Ensuring the children return to their correct parents or guardians.

Community Youth
Praying for the hearts and minds of the students you will be interacting with.  Engaging with the youth, asking questions, and helping them feel known and loved at church.  Following the prepared lesson plan to lead the lesson or assist the leader.  

Greet Team
Greeting and welcoming people with a smile as they walk through the doors of the Mill Church Edgar.  Showing new families around the church. Praying for people as they come and go.  Collecting and counting the offering after service.

Grounds and Maintenance Team
Keeping the building and grounds in good repair.  Taking care of snow removal, grass mowing, rooftop unit filter replacement, and general repair of building components.  

Kids Check-In Team
Using the check-in team computer to register students. Printing labels for students and parents/guardians.

Prayer Team
Praying for upcoming church events.  Praying for church services on Sunday mornings in the Prayer Room.

Tech Team
Running the ProPresenter presentation during service.  Using the sound board to adjust the sound quality and level during worship team practice and service.  Making sure that the televisions are on and set according to the correct presentation.

Worship Team
Participating and praying for the worship service.  Committing to grow in personal worship before leading corporate worship.  Learning the music, practicing, and preparing for your part of the worship service ahead of time.  Participating in the worship service.
