Edgar Medical Supply Closet
The Edgar Medical Supply Closet is up and running for people to check out such free medical equipment as wheelchairs, crutches, walkers, and much more more mobility, stability, and home care equipment. The Edgar American Legion has offered this community service since the 1960's and Edgar Community Church adopted this community service this fall. The equipment is currently located in a temporary storage unit, and thanks to a very generous donor within our church family, we plan on constructing a permanent structure on our church property to provide a forever home for this equipment.
David and Jean Wright have graciously agreed to lead this ministry. We are looking for some additional volunteers to assist David and Jean with this community service. Volunteers would help checkout equipment to community residents, offer to pray with them, and help clean/check-in the equipment once it's returned. If you are interested in helping with this ministry, please sign up at church.
There are 2 additional ways that we can help support the Edgar Medical Supply Closet as a church family. First of all, any gently used medical equipment that you are no longer using and you'd like to donate, please let David and Jean Wright know. Rollators are especially appreciated. Secondly, let people in our community know about this resource. Thanks!
